Introduction to CAD - Fashion

Computer Aided Designing in fashion industry indulges following softwares: Microsoft Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Corel DRAW and basics of latest softwares used in fashion industries to develop prints, patterns and 3-Dimensional garment sketching. These softwares helps to advance the graphic designing skills which usually plays a huge role in user experience (UX) and creation of vector based images i.e. visiting cards, fashion magazine layouts, creating specific style related layouts and more. The curriculum will include:
• Brief study of tools
• Layer and text masking
• Digital drawing of fashion accessories
• Digital rendering
• Professional editing using various effects, generally used on fashion photography
• Development of digital croquis and professional rendering
• Development of technical garment specification sheets, cost sheets and trims    & accessories sheet.
• Croqui movement and postures with artistic details
• Development of basic digital sloppers
• Pattern makers and layouts
